News Journal of January 30, 2012: During The Same Time

It was shortly after 3 am on Sunday that Suffolk County police responded to an shooting incident outside of a bar in West Babylon. Although they must had obtain evidence, sought out whomever involved and questioned likely eyewitnesses. The officers found neither the assailant or the victim, both missing. The police officers were soon to informed of what happened to the victim, according to Newsday he went to the hospital. As required by state law the staff at Good Samaritan Hospital contacted law authorities to report they have a gunshot victim being treated for wounds to his left calf. The unknown man had transported himself to the medical facility in West Islip, near Babylon.
Unfortunately not all such victims were as fortunate as this bar patron. During the weekend another individual, 18-year old Dimitri Forde was shot and killed in Freeport, New York. The incident on Columbus Avenue was briefly noted on last Saturday blog post. Mr Forde, according to The Associated Press had a green, cursive scripted tattoo on his right wrist, ‘Death Before Dishonor’. Much sadder for me to hear of that five individuals were found shot to death inside a Birmingham, Alabama home. The unknown, yet to be officially determined victims could be relatives. Local police made the gruesome discovery after responding to a 911 call during the same, early morning hour of the West Babylon shooting.
